Mrs. Gusup

From Kampung Bratan, Uncle Gusup, or well-known as Uncle Coconut who is famous for his coconuts. Uncle Gusup has been involved in the agriculture field for quite some time as his side income. His coconuts were in high demand and of excellent quality, to the point where he had a nickname given by the community. Aside from coconuts, he also farms tilapia and leptobarbus hoevenii.

Mr. Gusup's Farm

Currently, he is managing almost 4 acres for plantation and 2 acres for fish farming. Coconut, lemon, pomelo, limau kasturi, sago, and banana are among the crops grown on his farm. Uncle Gusup also produces various types of banana such as pisang embun, pisang emas, pisang keling, pisang kepok, and pisang tanduk.

Unfortunately, Uncle Gusup uses the traditional way to clear his land which was slashing and open burning. This practice will give a bad impact to the environment in the long run. Therefore, a sustainable way of farming was introduced to Mr. Gusup as it is safer for the environment.
